Yale Alley Cats in concert

It was a cold and rainy day again yesterday but that didn't stop our walking club from proceeding as planned.  I was the leader again as our usual leader was not available, so after pausing for our usual picture on the bridge, we completed our 12K in good time.  Yesterday, we dedicated our walk to Maren Sanchez.  Maren was the poor girl stabbed to death in Connecticut after turning down a classmate's request to attend the prom with him.  One of our walking members knew Maren's mother and lived in their community.  Just a horrible tragedy.
After warming up and drying out at our favorite fika spot, it was time to head back out in the rain to walk the 3 miles home.  I also had errands to run which was not a lot of fun in the rain!
We finally got our high speed internet up and running after months and months of waiting.  AND, Tabitha is finally feeling MUCH better so things are looking up!
In the evening, it was finally time to get dressed up and head out in the rain for a very grown up evening.  The PTA board, the school board, some parents and several Ambassadors were invited to another concert by the Yale University Alley Cats.  It was fantastic!  The American ambassador, Mark Brzezinski, hosted the event and the food, wine and music were wonderful!

Our rainy weather continues again today but last night, it let up briefly and I was able to get some interesting sky shots at about 9:30 p.m.
