Half Day of School!

Another 70 degree and sunny day and the kids only had a half day of school!  Perfect!  I ran errands all morning and was then ready to play when they got home.
We had fun watching the workmen next door start to cut openings for balconies!
Our neighboring building's back yard
Just a pretty building on my way to the grocery store
After lunch, the boys and I (Tabitha was studying) headed out to Kista (which is one of the sporadic Swedish words that is pronounced as a "sh" rather than a "k" sound) to what proved to be a great disc golf course.  We had to take the subway to the end of the blue line, which made one of Max's dreams come true!  He has always wanted to be the only people in a subway car so that he can play. He got to do that today and he was so happy!

When we found the disc golf course, we weren't sure how well we would do or how much we would want to play, so we started out on a six hole "short course".

We were having so much fun that we didn't want to stop so we then went on to play another 9 holes on the regular course.  Fantastic (even though I lost and Calvin won)!

Max played very well but also loved all of the trees to climb!!  He got lots of activity today!
We came home in time for Swedish lessons and dinner!  With all of the wonderful fresh strawberries that we can now get, I couldn't resist making an old fashioned strawberry shortcake for dessert!
