Even though it is Memorial day for all of our friends and family in the US, it is business as usual around here. Josh went to work and the kids went to school. Of course, Tabitha is in Prague, and Quincy and his friend are on vacation so it wasn't totally normal. Since Max M and Quincy seemed to want to sleep the morning away, I headed out for some quality time with some friends. Several of my friends are moving away at the end of the school year and most of the others will be gone for the entire summer, so we need to get as much visiting in as we can. After fika with one and then a bit later with 2 others, I headed back home to check on the big boys. They were still sound asleep at noon so I had to crack the whip and get them up. I got them going and out the door to hit the mall and the Nordiska Museet. They had another fun day and even took the opportunity to take my favorite walk, all along the water on Strandvägen. They thought it was pretty cool and are loving all of the interesting people watching that they are getting to do. I gave them both this little education in Swedish today…
After school today, Max played in his final guitar recital of the year. Hopefully you can watch the video above and recognize that he played "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake. I thought that he did a great job and I love watching his facial expressions as he plays!
