While the kids took Coco out to romp in the snow and to throw their own snowballs, Josh and I worked hard around the house. The Christmas decorations needed to be put away, we had to find places for all of our new Christmas gifts, and we wanted to put some pictures on the walls and feel even a bit more settled in this home. It was a very productive day and we now have Max's bed fully put together and my new spice racks in the pantry! (Very exciting stuff!)
After working hard all day and making a big pot of vegetarian minestrone soup for dinner, Josh and I took a long walk with Coco to enjoy a bit of the snow for ourselves...
Even though we took our Christmas tree down the old fashioned way (meaning, mom did it while everyone else complained about having to put away the ornaments) in both our Swedish home and our US home, we found out that there is a great Swedish tradition that goes along with this task.
Julgransplundring apparently takes place right around this date every year and makes taking down the tree much more fun! We may have to give this a try next year.
