Another day full of fun activities! This morning, I had to choose between my exercise class and my book club. Rarely do I have two very enjoyable activities scheduled at the same time but I did today. Since I didn't really like the book (Martin Eden by Jack London) and I do love to exercise, I chose that route instead. Of course, after exercise, I went out with some friends for a little shopping and for some fika. We apparently found the hot spot for semla. THE place to buy your semla in Stockholm. We didn't know but they certainly looked beautiful! As Fat Tuesday approaches, semla are out in every bakery in town.
On my walk home, I realized that I was really cold today. Just as I had started to think that I was handling all of this outdoor activity very well, I was cold all day long. Despite the fact that our temperatures were barely below freezing, the wind was just brutal today.
Impossible to keep warm, I couldn't even keep a hat on my head, it was too windy.
So, I walked home, took the dog for a walk and then settled down to working on things around the house and participating in my Swedish lesson.
After the kids got home from school and dinner was served, I headed out with a big group of international friends for a girls night out at a local Greek/Turkish restaurant. A great night!
I do realize that I don't really deserve a "girls night out" since my life is one big vacation, but be that as it may...
