I DO Speak English

Today, a man at the bus stop approached me and asked me how to get somewhere.  I was so ready with my standard answer of "I am sorry, I only speak English", that it took me a minute to realize that he WAS speaking English!  Whew, happy that I could help him!
It was a pretty quiet day today at the Shenk home.  Calvin had tennis.  Max was at a friend's house.  Tabitha went out with friends in the afternoon and then to babysit this evening.  Josh and I bundled up and took Coco out for a long walk.  Most the water that surrounds the city is now becoming frozen but still not like it normally is at this time of the year.  Long distance ice skaters are frustrated with their lack of opportunity to skate on the open waters this year.  I am not complaining!

We are heading out now for a casual party at a friend's house!
