Out of Shape and Out of Practice

Boy, almost three weeks of living as an American in the US took it all out of me!  I got back here forgetting how to do things and how to find things!  It is all coming back, slowly but surely but for now, I am worn out!
We had a little bit of snow on the ground when we woke up this morning and a few flakes fell during the day but mostly, it was just windy and slightly rainy with a temperature of about 30.  I headed right out to join my walking club after getting the kids off to school.
It was fantastic to be back with my group, walking and talking for a good 10 miles or so, ending our walk with good ole fika!  I have missed my fika!

After walking though, I was certainly feeling those distances that I haven't done in awhile!  I had a big, fat blister on my heel and some tired legs!  That didn't stop me from doing some more walking around town with my friend, Lori, however.  We were determined to figure out some travel plans for the upcoming school break in February.  Swedes love to travel and there are travel agencies everywhere.  We decided to stop in a few to learn what we could about good places to go from here.  We gathered lots of information but made the very funny mistake of walking into one place that looked like a travel agency and asking the receptionist for some travel suggestions for February. She gave us a very funny look and told us that this was a vaccination office, not a vacation office!  All of those Swedish "v" words look alike!!  Good thing that she understood our English before giving us a shot!
After coming home for a shower and some new bandaids for my heel, I headed back out to the grocery store to restock our pantry.  Unfortunately, I pinched my finger in the fancy shopping bags that I carry here and was bleeding all over before I could struggle home with my heavy groceries!  Whew, I am feeling beat up!
I had to head out for one more walk however, to give Coco her exercise for the day.  We put her into her new raincoat/pants that we bought while in the US.  She was not quite sure what to make of it and I could never get a decent picture because she spent a lot of time just wiggling around!  She did get used to it after walking though and hopefully, it will keep her cleaner and drier on bad weather days!
I am now exhausted and happy to have the weekend to relax!
