We have always heard that Swedes truly appreciate their winters and get out and enjoy the weather just as much as "normal" people do in the summer. I think that I am starting to believe this and to also figure out why.
Today was snowy, 18 degrees and windy. But it was beautiful, we were all dressed appropriately and we walked for a couple of hours. It was just wonderful and I could not stop taking pictures.
It really is all about how you dress and we now certainly take the time to do that correctly for all circumstances. Our walking was followed by fika and conversation. I then headed right home for grocery shopping and my Swedish lesson. Max started playing basketball with the school team tonight. Calvin went to Seven Eleven with some friends after school for a little snack and some socializing. Tabitha hopped on the subway to go babysit for the evening. Everyone is busy and happy.
One other thing that I have noticed about our weather is the the highs and lows are very close together each day. Never more than about 5 degrees separate the two which also makes it easier to dress appropriately, knowing that the afternoon will not be dramatically different than the morning.

| My walking club from last week, this week we had almost 30 women - I haven't gotten that picture yet! |
