So sad.
We woke up to a gloomy, misty day but my friend, Monica, and I were still able to get in a good walk in the park that was created for the 1956 Summer Olympics. It is right in the heart of the city but you would never know it with it's rocky hills and dense forestry.
After putting in our walk, we had a cup of coffee in a "new to us" cafe that Monica discovered. Loved the decor!
The rest of the day for me was spent running errands before it started raining too hard. I had to make a quick liquor store run since you can't buy even beer or wine anywhere else. One thing that I was absolutely not going to buy, was the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer that they were selling for $2.44 per bottle! Can you imagine being able to buy beers from all over the world and choosing to buy PBR?
It got colder and started raining in earnest by about 3:30 today. The kids came home from school, activities and babysitting, wet, cold and miserable. However, the Swedes are all still out and about, doing their thing. The numbers of kids, bikers, joggers, and walkers never in even went down in the park across the street! They are so much tougher than we are!
I saw a great quote today...
"Never make fun of someone who speaks broken English. It means that they know another language." by H. Jackson Brown Jr.
How many languages do you know?
