No Jacket Required

It was my turn to volunteer at the Scholastic book fair today.  It felt so much like home, I don't know how many years that I have done this, both near and far, but I always enjoy it.  I went into school early this morning to help with the set up and then worked in the afternoon when the kids were there to ring up their sales.  While at school this morning, the new PTA board and the existing board had a little surprise birthday celebration for one of our members.  Always fun to celebrate these occasions.

The weather was incredible today!  Sunny, blue skies and almost 70 degrees.  After leaving school in the morning, I walked to our beautiful central park of Kungsträdgården where I joined our PTA photography club who was in the process of taking pictures of the beautiful cherry blossoms that are just starting to fade.  I was just joining them to be social and to catch up with a few friends but this may just be another club that I join...

It was also "street food" day in Kungsträdgården so food trucks and hungry customers started lining up at lunch time.

After fika and a lot of chatting, I walked home and grabbed Coco for another walk.  I couldn't believe it when I could actually leave my jacket at home and change into flats without socks!!  I truly think that this is my first day EVER in Stockholm without a jacket and that includes our house hunting trip in August of last year!

I absolutely love the fact that Swedes do not let a moment of sunshine go to waste!  They were all outside, soaking up the sunshine as much as they could be today.  All dining was done outdoors at sidewalk cafes and people were in shorts, t-shirts and even tank tops.  So much fun to see!
Tabitha has her last day of class tomorrow!  She is then no longer required to go to school at all unless she has questions or needs help from teachers during this study time before final exams.  This girl is way on her way to graduation!
