I'm the new what?

I turned my back for just a minute and I am suddenly, not only in charge of the "Out and About" club for the end of this year and all of next, but as of today, I am also the new PTA secretary!  How do I get myself into these things?  After the PTA meeting this morning, I had lunch with a new friend.  Lena is Swedish but has not lived in Sweden for more than 15 years.  She, ironically enough, moved here in December from Cincinnati, OH!
April Fool's day was yesterday and even though it does not seem to be too big of a deal here, the English language Swedish paper that we read did run a few "fake" articles to be funny.  Here is the link to one of them that I particularly enjoyed...
After running me ragged while she was in Stockholm, Janis seems to be taking things a little more slowly and easily up in Luleå.  She is just taking it easy and roaming the streets of that small city.
I took it easy today too and just got some little things accomplished and a long walk with a good friend.  It has been a little colder this week with temperatures below freezing at night but at least the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming...
