Once again, we got exactly the weather that we wanted, when we wanted it. Today, we drove the 1 hour and 20 minutes to the farthest south west point of Europe. We explored Sagres, Cape St Vincent and the gorgeous beaches in the area. Absolutely breathtaking!
Max loves his new slingshot.
Tucked away beaches were warm and sunny today.
The wind-whipped light house on Cape St Vincent housed a very interesting nautical museum.
We found the perfect restaurant on the beach for lunch and ended up staying there for hours! One big plus of not being here during peak season means that the beautiful beaches are fairly empty. The surfers were out in droves today though but that was just fun to watch.
Tabitha and Max were not overly thrilled with their whole fried fish but with a little help, they made it to the yummy meat.
We were actually overdressed for the beach today, expecting the temperatures to be fairly cool but with the wind blocked by the cliffs, we were warm!
Max even went into the water!
Max, of course, has to climb whenever the opportunity arrives. I have started drilling three questions into him... "Is it safe? Is it legal? Is it ethical?" He came out of today unscathed, at least...
