The temperature today was the same as yesterday, about 36 degrees but it felt so much colder than yesterday. It was damp and drizzly with a cold wind. Our snow is now entirely gone except for a few dirty piles. I am really hoping that it either warms up and dries up drastically or gets colder and snows again. Coco gets so dirty when we take her out on these kind of days. It is just awful!
Today was my city lunch club. We meet just about every 6 weeks to try some new restaurant in Stockholm. We went to a fabulous seafood place where you chose your fresh fish and they then grilled it for you. Brilliant! Gorgeous! (I have been hanging out with British and Australian friends, can you tell?) Anyway, it was wonderful and the 18 of us did lots of talking and laughing as usual.
After lunch, Monica and I headed up the fantastic and huge, pedestrian shopping street of Drottninggatan. We each had a list of things that we needed to pick up and you can't beat a street where you can find it all (and then some!) Great place.
One thing on my list was some bubble bath for Max. After ice skating in gym class for 3 hours yesterday, he is so sore that he can hardly move. Hopefully, a long soak in the tub will loosen him up!
We found out today that we had a pipe break in our Indiana home. Huge mess which will cost us dearly if we have to replace hardwood. Not fun to be an absent homeowner.
