The Red Carpet!

Sorry that I didn't post a blog last night, but I was too busy walking the red carpet at the premiere of a new television show that is being filmed in Sweden!  So exciting and fun!  The show airs in Sweden on  Friday but has also been picked up by NBC in the US and will begin this summer.  It is called "Welcome to Sweden" and is the first English language television show to be filmed and produced in Sweden and the first Swedish television show to be picked up by an American network!  The star of the show is Greg Poehler, an American that fell in love with a Swedish girl and moved here 8 years ago.  The show is a romantic comedy, loosely based on  his life.  Greg just happens to be the brother of the well-known American actress, Amy Poehler.  I am sure that those connections helped quite a bit but the show is very good and we are quite excited about it!  It laughs at many of the cultural adjustments that we have made to live here.  Quite entertaining!  If you click on all of the links that I added to my text above, you can read articles about the show.
Anyway, the American Woman's Club of Stockholm, invited 500 people to attend the premiere last night at a local theater.  I was lucky enough to be able to go with a big group of my friends.

We got to meet Greg, take pictures, watch the first episode, listen to Greg speak and do a stand up comedy routine, and then listen to several cast members and the director answer questions at the end.

The boys didn't have school yesterday due to parent/teacher conferences but none of their teachers wanted me to "confer" with them.  So, I had the boys home all day, helping me run errands.  Max and I found a cool subway station on the other side of town.  It looked like it was decorated with an old video game design.
Today, we were back to routine (except that Josh is in Amsterdam this week for work instead of Luleå) so after the kids went off to school, I headed out for some badminton time.  Great set of games followed by a nice fika with a few friends.  By the time that I started headed home, snow had begun to fall heavily.  It is a very heavy, wet snow since we are barely below freezing but it definitely accumulating!

Last evening was gorgeous....
This evening is a mess.  Oh well, spring in Sweden, I guess!

Tabitha it out babysitting again.  She is in high demand here and babysits at least 3-4 nights per week in addition to tutoring a young girl.  She is loving it all, loves the kids, loves the money!
