Today dawned bright and sunny again even though the temperatures never went above the mid 40's. I joined two friends in a local, hilly park for an outdoor workout first thing this morning. We had a great time, exercising, loving the fresh air, and talking, before heading our separate ways for home.
One of my favorite streets in town is called Snickerbacken. Love the name, no idea what it means but I love it. I also love that half of the street is just steps! No car access!
We have had consistent trouble with our internet since we moved into this flat back in September. Our building is so old that it is not wired for internet at all. So, our internet is only available by satellite! This makes it slow and quite inconsistent. Thank goodness that the publishing company below us has an unsecured wi-fi so that we can connect to them when we lose our connection here! (We try not to do this often and usually only after they are closed for the evening). Anyway, we were quite excited to learn a few weeks ago that our building was having fiber optic cables installed. I was instructed to be make our flat available to the work men on two different occasions so that they could run the cable. I did. But, they never did the work. This weekend, we had a friend of the flat owner come by to bring us a new router. He discovered that the cables had never been run. When he called them to ask them why, they said that they ran into a problem and couldn't do the work. They would now try to take care of it because we called! Josh says that this is very Swedish. If you can't complete a job, just walk away from it until someone notices!!
