Sorry about not blogging yesterday! We made it home by train, safe and sound. It was pretty darn convenient for the train to pull into Central Station where we could quickly get off, walk to the subway and be home in 10 minutes. Can't beat train travel! And, we met a few interesting people on board. One young man was on his way to a conference in Stockholm for his job and loved speaking English to us, he said that English was his "mother tongue even though he was born and raised in Sweden". Anyway, he acted as our translator when the train was unexpectedly delayed by an accident on the tracks.
So, we made it home, picked up Coco from the boarding place which just happens to be 1/2 a block away. She apparently had a great time there and made lots of new friends. She was happy to see us, however!
We unpacked, did some laundry, went to the grocery store, and sorted our mail. It is not easy to go through mail these days. I have to sit down with google translate and type everything that I am "reading" into it to know whether it is junk mail or something that I need to act on! Hopefully I gain a better understanding of at least written Swedish soon!
After that, we sat down to relax and have been doing so ever since! I was battling a cold all week but refused to give in to not feeling well until we got home. By yesterday evening though, I was wiped out and had a fever, body aches, etc. Time to just sleep. So, I did and am feeling much better today. Josh and the kids did all of the running around today but none of us did much. Sometimes, that is not so bad!
