Walking and More Walking

We are putting in some serious mileage these days!  Not going to complain at all because I love it but I am going to give some examples...
Today was a gorgeous, 45 degree and sunny day.  Our temperature lows are not too far off from our highs these days so it is almost the same temperature when you wake up as it is much later in the day.  Today is Friday which means that I have my walking group in the morning.  I love this group!    We have such a great time, walking and talking followed by eating and talking when we stop at the end of our walk for fika.   (Remember that any underlined and colored words, I have made into a link to give you more information) We also enjoy the beauty of the island of Djurgården along the route.

So, after getting the kids on their way to school, I walked the 1.1 mile to school to meet my walking group.  We then proceeded to walk almost 8 miles (at a fairly steady, rapid pace) before we stopped for fika.  After fika, everyone sort of went their separate ways and for me, that meant an almost 3 mile walk home.  As soon as I got home, I took Coco out for a walk since she had been stuck at home all morning.  I walked more than 1/2 a mile with her to make sure she got some exercise too.

After Tabitha's school let out at 4:30, I walked the 1.1 mile to school again to meet her.  We then proceeded to walk 1/2 a mile to a bus stop that we are not used to.  She is babysitting tonight for a family that she hasn't sat for before so I went with her to make sure that she could find the place.  After a 35 minute bus ride, we then walked 1/2 a mile to the home of the family.

This family lives in a beautiful house on an island not close to much but certainly with a beautiful view of Stockholm city.  Of course, we arrived at 5:30 so it was beyond pitch black!  After making sure that Tabitha arrived where she needed to be.  I then walked the 1/2 mile back to the bus stop before heading for home.  The bus let me off yet another 1/2 mile from home.  So, we are up to almost 15 miles of walking today!  I love it but I have to admit, I am starting to feel tired!  Still one more walk tonight... We are meeting 3 other couples for dinner at a restaurant that is about 1/2 mile from our house...  This last mile will be in heels!
