We see this ugly tower from all over the city so today, we decided to take the bus over to that side of the city and see what it is all about. The tower is called the Kaknästornet and is a telecommunications tower (obviously) built in the 60's. It opened in 1967 and is 155 meters high. For 50 SEK, you can go up inside to the observation deck and restaurant. Today, was a gorgeous, clear day with blue sky and sun shine so the conditions were perfect. It was about 45 degrees on the ground but up on the observation deck, it was COLD and windy. The views were worth it, however and we all loved it!
After descending the tower, we joined every other Stockholm resident on earth and strolled the parks and waterways to enjoy the beautiful day! Absolutely perfect!
We all had a great day! Just missing our big boy when we spend this family time together...
