Time for the Warm Clothing

It was cold this morning!  Only 21 degrees when we woke up.  That is the coldest morning that we have had so far since we moved here.  It was time to pull out Coco's coat and for the rest of us to really bundle up!

Josh's mom made me wear a hat on our first date almost 28 years ago but I can honestly say that I have hardly worn one since!  That philosophy has now changed since I am now outside so much of the time and it is cold!
We are really going to have to figure out how to dress appropriately, layered but nice looking and very warm!  We aren't going out to play in the snow, we are functioning in life!  And, we aren't jumping into a heated car all of the time.. Gets a little tricky!
For the first time ever, the playground across the street was empty when I took Coco for her walk.  By 10 a.m., though the preschool kids had returned despite the still cold temperatures.
The kids are preparing for their first recital with their private music lessons at school.  Calvin will also do a little public speaking with his speech and debate club.

We are all feeling a little homesick this week as everyone back home is gearing up for Thanksgiving weekend.  Quincy went back to Batesville today for the first time since moving on campus back in August.  He got a ride to Indianapolis with his 2nd cousin, Emily who is a junior at SLU.
He is looking forward to hanging out with friends, cousins, and grandparents this week.
Over a nice long fika with a couple of friends today, I did my Thanksgiving planning.  Looking forward to making our big turkey on Saturday.
