Whew!!  We are recovering from a late night last night!  We went out for dinner with 3 other couples and our reservations were for 10 p.m.!  Definitely a more European version of dinner time than we are used to!  Anyway, we really had a great time.  One couple was from New Zealand, one from the US but most recently from Belgium and then the Netherlands, and one mixed couple who were natives to Guam and Australia.  Super fun!  We had a great meal at a meat and potatoes, grill-type restaurant, and great conversation.  Of course, because it was so much fun, we didn't get to bed until almost 3!  Whew.  So, this morning, we slept in until it was time to send Calvin on his way to his tennis lesson.  He is gearing up to start playing in some local matches and we are looking forward to being able to watch him play!

Tabitha took off for a day of shopping with some friends while we set out with the boys to the other side of town.  I always love checking out the variety of architecture along the way.

We arrived by bus at the museum park just a short way outside of the city center with the intention of going into the technology museum to attend the annual robot competition and see the largest computer game exhibit in the world!  Unfortunately, we only had two hours to the competition and this was the line just to get into the museum!  So, we turned around and walked into the next museum in the park.

This was the National Museum of Ethnography.  It was beautifully done and very interesting with most exhibits in English and Swedish.  It was a great way to spend what turned out to be a cold and rainy afternoon.  We even learned about the Swedish take on the Native Americans!

Quincy is swimming in his first intercollegiate meet today at MIZZOU with the SLU Club team!  I am hoping that he will send me some pictures and that he thoroughly enjoys himself.  He is really looking forward to this!

  1. Hope Quincy did well and that he enjoyed his brief visit to MIZZOU. Had I known, I could have gone to the meet since I live in Columbia. :-)
