We made it! We took the 12 hour high speed train from Stockholm to Luleå, in the far north of Sweden. Our train was delayed almost as soon as we left Stockholm by a suicide on the tracks with the train in front of us. A sobering start to our trip but after 2 1/2 hours of waiting, we were on our way. It was great fun! We ate in the dining car, taught Max how to play Euchre, read books and slept fairly well on our bunks. The train made up for lost time and we arrived less than an hour after our scheduled time. Josh was able to check us into our very nice hotel early and quickly so after a great breakfast at the buffet, we settled in to the fanciest suite in the hotel, took hot showers and are now ready to hit the town and explore! After staying in this hotel for two weeks every month for the past two years, Josh can get us all kinds of perks! Very fun!
