Molly and Melia flew back to the US today after their 10 day visit to Sweden. I think that everyone had a great time here and those girls certainly had the opportunity to see and do a lot of things that they could not do in Batesville.
It's all about the feet for the rest of us... We are doing some very serious walking here that even though we have always been active is nothing like what we have done before. We all walk several miles every day and there are days that I walk more than 10 with just my running around alone (not including anything that I do for fitness). This is all great for our health but is hard on the feet and legs when it is on hard city streets and sidewalks. So, we spent some time and money investing in some good shoes with very proper fits to try to ease some of the stress on our poor appendages! We may even end up buying boots for Coco when the snow and ice comes! Even the vet recommended them!
Tabitha feels like she has been spending money like crazy here and after years of earning her own, it is painful for her to start spending her savings without replacing it. So, she has been eager to put out the word that she enjoys babysitting. I found two contacts for her with mothers from school so today, she visited both homes to "interview" for future jobs. Both families loved her, of course, and she will actually start babysitting for one right after school tomorrow. The one family lives in the house pictured below and as the above view from their backyard!
The boys took Coco for a long walk through several parks today and then Calvin came home and made this beautiful tart for all of us!
Max had a wonderful time last night at his first sleepover in Sweden. He and his friend rode their bikes all through Eban's suburban neighborhood and ate pancakes for breakfast!
