This is a picture of the main aisle! We bought one screwdriver, four suction cup plastic hooks to hang our robes on, and one tube of Super glue. We took a number, waited in line behind the masses and $85 later, we got out of there! Unbelievable! We then headed with the boys to the sports store since both need new tennis shoes. Another round of sticker shock and masses and people. And then, the most expensive of all.... We headed to the giant electronics store where I bought a stand mixer, a food processor, and a blender. Whew! I don't even want to tell you what those things cost! We then carried our big and many purchases home on the subway before working hard around home and in the kitchen the rest of this rainy, dark day. Fortunately, Calvin is strong because carrying those appliances home on the subway and then for the rest of the walk home was not easy!
Tabitha has discovered the joys and the freedom of a big city with mass transportation! She went out last night with some friends, hanging out and drinking hot chocolate at a coffee shop until midnight! She has then spent the entire day today with friends, attending the chocolate festival that I went to earlier in the week. She is loving every minute of having so many things at her finger tips. We picked up a newspaper today to see my photo in it from my visit to the chocolate festival. This reporter had stopped us on Thursday to ask a few questions about the festival and to take our picture. He must have taken 30 pictures but look at the one that he chose to publish! Ughh!
