Whew!

Sometimes I feel like I just run in circles and sometimes my head just spins....  Today was one of those days!  Josh left for work this morning, then Max left for school.  I then attended my photography class.  Fantastic class!!  I learned all about metering and light exposure.  So many things that I never heard of before, let alone understood!  Loved it!

I left class about 20 minutes early so that I could take Max to the doctor about his knee.  The doctor was wonderful, thinks exactly the way that I do, and immediately got him started on treatments that I would have chosen!  So with some anti-inflammatory techniques and some taping, we are hoping to get him back to his sports in 6-8 weeks.  A long time for a 13 year old to wait, but important to truly get over this.
As soon as I got Max back to school, I ran to the park to meet my exercise group.
After a vigorous work out in the cool morning air, I took a few pictures in the park before heading home.

After getting home and showering, I was met with the news that the racial protests in St Louis have now spilled over onto SLU's campus, right outside Quincy's dorm.  The protests were peaceful last night and the campus is hoping to keep them that way, but it certainly makes me very nervous and sending all sorts of mother hen messages to Quincy!
I then found out that Tabitha's roomate moved out over the weekend!  It was not personally directed at Tabitha but there have been a few little conflicts over the past couple of weeks.  Annika is a very unhappy girl that just wants to go home (to Michigan).  Her parents are hoping that moving her into her own, single room in an all girls dorm might be the solution.  She and Tabitha parted friends but Taba was relieved to see her go.  Taba is now on her own unless the university needs to fill that space!  What the heck!?  I think that my kids are pretty great but we are 3 for 3 for losing roommates at the beginning of the school year!
We are trying to get the insurance claim settled on Quincy's car accident so that we can get him a new car as soon as possible, and someone is seriously looking at our house again...
Not all bad things, but certainly enough to keep my braining spinning!
