Bank Robberies and a Bomb Threat?

The day started out so nicely...
Max didn't have school today because it was parent/teacher conferences and since he is such a fantastic kid and student, I was told that I didn't need to attend any conferences.  So, we had a nice leisurely day ahead of us.

Around 10, I headed down the street to one of our many parks to meet my photography club.  The day was gorgeous and wonderfully peaceful!
It didn't last long however...

By about 10:30, not only did some clouds roll in, but the peaceful day was destroyed by helicopters, police cars, sirens, SWAT trucks and bomb squads racing by!  We had no idea what was going on!
Apparently, armed robberies had taken place at two banks and a currency exchange place in the center of the city!  This is unheard of!  Usually, Sweden has about 5 bank robberies per year!  There was also a bomb scare that had the subways and roads shut down.  Parents and students at the parent/teacher conferences were on lock down at school!  Crazy!  In such a nonviolent city, this was really unusual.  So, I kept Max at home for several hours and postponed his laser tag plans with friends...
Maybe the ugliness of the events this week effected my photography choices today...
