Some Sunshine and Hiking

Going to bed last night during some hard, cold rain, with a sore and swollen ankle for Josh and the beginnings of a bad cold for Max, we had no idea what today would hold in store.  Fortunately, we woke up to sunshine and everyone feeling quite a bit better.  So, with some Aleve for the guy who occasionally forgets just how old he is, and some Sinus Tylenol for the young guy, we headed out to explore the city of Ålesund.  It was fantastic!  The city is known for it's Art Nouveau architecture and the mountain that is located right in the city centre.  We enjoyed both!  The 418 stairs leading up to an observation deck on the top of the mountain were closed for renovations so we decided to hike up the long network of trails to get to the top.  Beautiful sights all along the way and only a little bit of rain about half way up.

After walking for hours and finally eating a late lunch, we decided that we were worn out and headed back to the hotel for a lazy afternoon.  The rain started shortly after we were safely indoors!
