Prepping and Packing and Saying Good-bye

The good byes have really begun as I do each of my clubs one last time this week.  I know that now when I see someone, it might be the last time that I see them... I hate this part of moving...
After my book club today, the sun came out, the sky was blue and the temperature was in the low 40's.  Beautiful!

I then joined some other friends to celebrate the birthday of my friend, Lori.

We had a great lunch followed by a nice walk home.  Now that the snow is all melted, we are left with just the gravel on the sidewalks.  Sometimes, it is harder to walk on than the ice!  It is really hard on Coco's feet!

I will certainly miss sights like this!  White hair, full length fur coat, ankle boots and a shopping cart!
One thing that always amuses me when listening to Swedish people have a conversation is the fact that Swedes are "active listeners".  Meaning, the listener feels compelled to make a noise after each sentence by the speaker.  It is quite amusing to hear either a "ja" or an "ah" or the common, sharp intake of breath, that Americans would think is a sign of alarm but is actually a "yes" in the Swedish language.   Very strange.
