Whew! We have had quite a couple of days! After an unbelieveably long day of travel yesterday... Delays, cancelled flights, gate changes, route changes, airline changes, and a solid 29 hours of travel... We finally arrived in New Orleans. Exhausted, dirty,cranky and without our luggage. But, we were here, so Tabitha and I slept for a few hours, picked up some toiletries from Walgreens, pulled on our dirty clothes again, ate a big breakfast and then hit the Tulane campus.
We were just in time for Tabitha's orientation! It was/is fantastic! They greeted us with Mardi Gras beads and a New Orleans Jazz band and some fun and information. Tabitha immediately made friend's in her orientation group and promptly left me to fend for myself. I found a great couple of other moms to hang out with and we all had a great day. Tabitha stays on campus tonight while I enjoy a nice glass of wine and a great hotel. Tomorrow morning, we will learn some more about Tulane! So exciting! We love it! And, our luggage just showed up! Clean clothes tomorrow!
