Some Good-byes

After all of the happiness and excitement yesterday, it was hard to say some good-byes today.  Quincy got up early this morning to take Max M to the airport by train so that he could head back to the US.  We have certainly enjoyed his company and I know that Quincy will miss him as a companion in Stockholm.

While Tabitha had some fika, lunch, and now dinner with friends, I went to the home of a friend for a going away party.  I hate the fact that as the school year comes to a close, several of my friends will be leaving Stockholm for good.  Some are going back to their home countries and some are moving on to new places.  We have established some wonderful friendships in our short time together and it will be hard to say good-bye.  However, as we all know very well, the world is not that big of a place and keeping in touch does not have to take much effort in this technology era.  One friend put it best today... "Farewells are sad, but it is part of this wild & crazy journey that we are on."
