We had a big, full day today.
The kids took off for their last half day of school while I joined a big group of friends for our last school year fika at a favorite spot.
After fika, I ran home to pick up Quincy so that he and I could attend the end of the year assembly at the church across the street from our school. It was a beautiful assembly with some speeches, some singing, some awards and a very nice introduction and send off to the graduating seniors.
When the seniors processed into the church, they each gave a flower to a kindergarten student - the outgoing class welcoming in the incoming class. So sweet!
After the assembly, it was an hour or so of hugs, tears and well wishes in the churchyard until Max and I left with some friends of his, to hit the amusement park in celebration.
Three moms spent the day following around 7 boys, as they ran around the park - riding rides, playing games and eating junk food!
They all had a great time and the moms enjoyed getting to know each other a bit better. Max only felt mildly nauseous by the time we headed home at 7 p.m. Tabitha is out with friends yet again while Quincy and Calvin enjoyed a relaxing evening at home!
A quick picture of the sky at 11 p.m. last night...
