Wonderful Weekend!

We had a fantastic weekend!  During a lazy night at home on Friday, Max had his friend, Jacques, spend the night.  They had a great time just hanging out and playing games.  We all slept in on Saturday and then took off for a long walk.  The weather has been beautiful with blue skies and temperatures hovering right around the freezing point.  Great for walking although we still have to look out for those icy patches.
After some afternoon naps, it was time to get together with a large group of friends to celebrate the birthdays of two of my photo club members.  What a great night!  Lida and Theresa's husbands had organized a private show at a local improv comedy club and we all laughed until we cried!
At intermission, we all enjoyed these gorgeous and unusual cake rolls, made by a local Japanese woman!

After laughing some more and taking some pictures, we wandered a couple of blocks down the street for a huge, raucous Spanish meal at a tapas restaurant.
It was all so much fun!
Today, was filled with another day of sleeping in before taking a long walk around the city.  Today, we spotted the man made cross country ski track that the city puts up in one of the local parks every winter.  The track was filled with skiers and definitely looked like something we will have to try out!
Now, Max is at track practice for the first time since he hurt his knee months ago, and then Josh and I will go out for a quiet dinner on our own.
Quincy and a group of his friends from school went with the university chapter of Chi Alpha to attend a conference in Kansas City this weekend.  He seems to really be enjoying it!
