Unbroken

I have been getting off easily lately because we haven't had any big PTA things going on. However, it is back to reality and time to put on my secretary hat again.

After my exercise class this morning, it was time for our pre-PTA planning meeting with the PTA board.  We enjoyed fika in the process of course, at one of our favorite spots.

Last night, I went out with friends to see the movie "Unbroken".  Again, I am amazed by the fact that all movies in Sweden are released in their original language.  No dubbing goes on, only subtitles.  I can certainly understand why the Swedes are so good in English.  However, as small parts of this movie are in Japanese and in Italian, it didn't do us much good to read the Swedish subtitles!  Besides that, I have to admit that this particular book was so much better than the movie!  I left the theater feeling disappointed.  Too bad!
Walking around Stockholm lately, it has become very clear that the city is developing a very real problem.  The Roma population has begun to camp everywhere, and because the Swedish laws allow their immigration, allow their begging and allow their camping, parts of the city have become much less beautiful.
