Ice Skating?

After having snow fall for two solid days, we then had rain last night which turned all of our beautiful snow into treacherous ice!  Max went ice skating today in gym class but the real challenge for both of us was just walking to school!  The sidewalks were clear in many spots but where they weren't and/or at intersections, they were unbelievably slippery!  Neither one of us fell however, and Max made it through his first day of school and I made it to my PTA duties for new parent orientation.  After PTA, I did some more slippery walking, down to one of the small local islands to meet my photography club.

We took pictures of the beautiful morning, the goofy sculptures in front of the museum, and a funny little car, before we and went  indoors to view the photography exhibit at the Modern Art Museum.
We then had a fantastic lunch with lots of talking and catching up!  Another great day in Stockholm!
One of our group members decided to ride her bike to our outing.  The Swedes ride year round, in any weather and in any road conditions... Well, Nancy is a homegrown American and was lucky that she made it alive to the museum!  She was slip sliding all over the place and shaking by the time she arrived!  I think that the Swedes use snow tires on their bikes...
This guy had a tricycle but he was old and had his walker strapped to the back!  I love it!
