Julbord and Bibimbap

We had another great night last night!  Josh and I went out with the parents' social club from school.  Last night's activity was to get dressed up and to take an archipelago cruise while enjoying a traditional julbord onboard.  We joined about 30 other parents and had a great time.

A julbord consists of many, many dishes, but at least 20 types of different cold herring dishes.  We enjoyed most of them and certainly enjoyed the company that we were with.  The water levels are low outside of Stockholm so the boat didn't actually go out too far but it was still nice to see the city lights from on the boat.
Max also had an exciting night last night!  Home delivery is not a normal thing at all for Stockholm restaurants.  However, one place has finally started to deliver pizza!  Max was so excited to order and have pizza delivered while we were out!
Today, after sleeping in, Josh and I took a long walk around the city and completed quite a lot of our Christmas shopping.  We will fly back to the U.S. in one week and then the real Holiday season will begin.
I tried my hand at Korean cooking tonight and made bibimbap for the first time after getting the recipe from a friend!  Delicious!  Stockholm has all sorts of Asian markets, so getting the ingredients is not difficult around here at all.  I am not sure that I will have the same luck in Batesville!
