Back from Budapest

After a two hour flight delay, Max made it home from Budapest this evening!  He had a fantastic time!  Loved every minute of it and told me repeatedly that he could have stayed there forever.  They managed to squeeze in a quite a bit of sight seeing despite their very busy conference schedule.  He was able to see the Parliament, the German Embassy,  Svent István Bazilika, swim in the Gellért Thermal bath, eat at the famous Gerbeaud Cafe on Vörösmarty Square, and take a dinner cruise on the Danube River.

That was the fun stuff but apparently, the conference was also great.  Max was part of a cabinet with 12 kids, all older than him, that were from various places around Europe.  His cabinet leader was a Yale undergraduate student.  They had long meetings, discussions, debates and mock crisis meetings. They had to research and write papers, do speeches and make presentations.  He thought it was all great and hopes that he gets the opportunity to do it again!
Today was the official start of the Christmas season in Stockholm.  The streets are now all lined with Christmas lights and they were even serving free glögg and pepparkakka on the tram today!

My photographer friend gave me a picture of me with my good friend, Lori.  I thought that I would share it with you!
