Walking Tour and Swedish Meatballs

This morning was all about PTA meetings and clubs for me so I got Kerry and Courtney off on their own this morning before I headed to school.  Kerry and Courtney took a guided walking tour through the city this morning where they learned all sorts of things about Stockholm and Swedish history.  They had a great tour and loved their Australian guide.

Today, was yet another gorgeous, sunny day so Stockholm was showing off it's best self.

After their walking tour, Kerry and Courtney managed to navigate the city a bit on their own.  They explored Gamla Stan some more, saw the changing of the guards at the palace, ate lunch, did some souvenir shopping and even made it home on their own.  Not bad at all for day two in a foreign city!!
My afternoon was spent at the beautiful home of a friend where we gathered with all of the heads of our social clubs to figure out the year's activities and schedules.  Looks like I am in for another busy and fun year!
I made a big, Swedish dinner for our meal tonight.  Introducing our guests to Princess cake, meatballs  with cream sauce and lingonberry sauce, all served with potatoes, of course.
Tabitha sent me a picture from last night, she was celebrating with her roomate at a nice restaurant, since Annika was turning 18.
Aren't they cute?
I also got a picture of Calvin from my mom and dad today.  He is spent the long weekend at their house and enjoyed a round of golf yesterday afternoon.
