Taking Pictures and Staying Warm

The temperature was only 37 degrees this morning when we got up!  And, the wind was brutal!  I dressed warmly and headed out.  I quickly found out that I was not dressed warmly enough however, as I met my photography group on a bridge for some picture taking!  It was so cold, my fingers and toes were like ice!  I guess it's time to pull out the boots and gloves!  We did have fun, however and took some good shots.

My fingers were so cold, I could hardly press the camera button

After some fika and warming up, we all went our separate ways.  For me, that meant heading home to take Coco out for a walk.  She was not thrilled with the cold weather either!  I then headed back out to meet one old friend and one new friend at City Hall.  The tower of City Hall is only open until Sept 30 and will then close for the winter.  We were determined to get up there and see it before it closes, so we braved the weather again!
Well worth it!  The views were beautiful and the interior was pretty spectacular!

Max has been doing orienteering in gym class for the past couple of weeks.  He absolutely loves this activity as they run around a huge park for a couple of hours in the middle of the day.  He loves to WIN, to be the fastest to reach the all of the points and the end goal.  Today, he did win and was thrilled. He was also lucky enough to only be outside when it wasn't raining.  I was not so lucky and got rained on several times throughout my day.
