The Palace

After Max left for school, Kerry, Courtney and I decided that it was time for them to visit a palace.  So, we headed to Drottningholm, which is the home of current king and queen of Sweden.  We had a wonderful time wandering the palace before thoroughly enjoying the grounds and the beauty of the gardens.

After our wanderings, we headed to the cafe on the royal grounds for some lunch.  Our fantastic food was complimented by the gorgeous sunshine and perfect temperatures!
We then headed by bus and subway back to the center of the city, just in time for fika!  This was the first fika that Kerry and Courtney actually had so I took them to one of my favorite places.  We had some fantastic apple pie, banoffee, hot chocolate and coffee before strolling back home.
This evening, it was time for Kerry and Courtney to leave on stage 2 of their journey.  They took off by cruise/ferry boat to the city of Tallinn in Estonia.  As I have been there before, I feel pretty confident that they will love this beautiful city!  I can't wait to hear all about their adventures when they get back on Wednesday morning!
Tabitha had her pinning ceremony at school last evening.  This is the ceremony where they are officially connected to their big sister.  Each freshman girl is given an upper classman girl as a big sister to help them navigate through their first year.  Tabitha feels very lucky to have an extremely helpful and supportive big sister!
Tabitha also just joined the club swim team for Tulane!  She is very excited to join this friendly group of kids, get some regular exercise and go to some away swim meets with the team!
Calvin had a great tennis match the other night with an easy win!
