Walkin' and Talkin'

I was so happy to join my walking group again this morning for the first time since June!  It wasn't an official group yet since the school year just started but 6 of us did gather and walk our usual route.  We covered almost ten miles with about 40 miles worth of talking!  So fun to catch up and get our our exercise and enjoy the beauty of Djurgården!

After walking and talking, I abandoned my walking crowd to their fika while I ran off to have one last fika with Swedish woman that I have really enjoyed becoming friends with over the past year.  Tanja will be moving to Italy next week to follow her husband's professional basketball career and I will certainly miss her.  I hope that our paths will cross again somewhere, at sometime!
After walking another couple of miles while running errands with a brief stop at home (to finally change out of my walking gear), I met up with friends again for a little shopping.  Today, we hit the English Store, an Asian market, a school supply store (finally, a big one!), and an American store.  Fun afternoon!
Max hung out with friends and played after school but when he came home, we headed down the street to the Japanese restaurant that we pass a hundred times a day but had never been in.  We both loved our dumplings and sushi, and plan to make this stop one of our new favorite restaurants!
Quincy is packing up today and heading to St Louis tomorrow!  Hope all the crazy violence around Ferguson, MO does not even come close to Quincy's campus!
Tabitha is still loving life!  Her roomate moves in today and classes start on Monday.  Tabitha met her roomate briefly this morning, told me that she was nice and then she got out of the way so that her roomate and her family could unpack and get situated.  When I asked Tabitha what she is doing while staying out of the room, she said "Drinking frozen hot chocolate and playing cards with my new BFF's"
I love it!
