Max finished up his 8th grade school year. Hard to believe that after 15 years, we no longer have ANY children in elementary school! Brings tears to my eyes. I attended the 8th grade awards program and was happy to see that even with less than 2 months at this school, Max was on the honor roll and received recognition for an art piece that he made. His art will be exhibited at City Hall this summer! He also brought home a wonderful little gum ball machine that he made in shop class. He did a great job!
The boys spent a lot of time hanging out with each other and shooting many baskets this week while I did quite a bit of hiking in the metro parks with some friends. I also attended a very nice luncheon with my newcomers group in the beautiful little village of Gates Mills.
Tabitha continues to absolutely love her job in Italy. Here is a picture of her employer, Tanja, with Tabitha while they dined on sushi when the kids were at school.
Max and Quincy had a big night out last night! They had each gotten a ticket to the "Weird Al Yankovich" concert from us for their birthdays, and last night was the night of the concert! They were so excited and were not disappointed in the least! They love that guy! Despite the huge rain storm and downpours of rain throughout the concert, they stayed warm and dry under a big tent and were thoroughly entertained!
We got inches and inches of rain this weekend. It gave us plenty of time to sort through some of those remaining boxes in our house, but it wasn't exactly fun!
We did have some new friends/neighbors come over for a visit in the rain last evening. We loved getting to know them and really enjoyed the visit.
During even more rain today, Josh and I had a great time making homemade ravioli! We were quite the team and our final product was fantastic!
