Off to Europe!

After driving the 3 hours to my mom and dad's house late Friday afternoon, we were able to spend a very nice 14 hours with all six of us under one roof!  It was certainly great to see all of the kids together for the one and only time this summer.
Also, very nice to have Josh's mom and my sister and her family join us!

After driving back home yesterday afternoon while Calvin went back to school, Tabitha then had to get serious about organizing and packing!  The three kids at home last night, decided to get sushi and then to go out to see a movie together.  Josh and I took that opportunity to try one of our local restaurants.  It was wonderful and we had a great time!
This morning, it was time to say good-bye to Tabitha!  She took off for Milan where she will start her summer job as a nanny!  I know that she will love it but we will certainly miss her!
We continue to get more and more situated in the neighborhood  and we are truly enjoying it.  We had  someone come out and begin the process of installing a basketball hoop on our driveway.  This will really make us feel like true mid-westerners.  On Wednesday night, the neighbor behind us, invited me and a group of six neighborhood women over for drinks.  I had a great time getting to know these women of similar age!  Today, while we were working in our yard, we had several neighbors stop by and say "hello".  The elderly couple directly behind us, called us "kids" and gave us a beautiful hanging plant!  Gotta love them!  Another neighbor is hosting her son's big wedding at her house next Sunday, so she went around handing out bags of candy and apologizing in advance if it gets noisy or makes the traffic pattern difficult.  I thought that that was a very nice thing to do!  Nice place to live!
