Happy Memorial Day!

Our house is certainly a lot crazier when more of the kids are home!  Laundry, food, groceries, noise, activity...  All have increased exponentially this week!
After participating in my cooking club, hiking with 2 different friends on 2 occasions, and joining another friend for lunch last week, I am certainly starting to feel at home in our new city.
Friday, Josh and I explored a bit of the very lively downtown when we went out to celebrate our 22nd anniversary!  Hard to believe that 22 years have flown by already but we have certainly kept them filled with adventure and fun.  Here's hoping for many, many more to come!
After dining and staying at a fancy hotel in downtown Cleveland on Friday night, while Max and Quincy stayed home with Coco, Josh and I left bright and early on Saturday morning to drive to pick up Calvin from school.
Calvin was selected to carry a banner and assist with the graduation ceremony for the seniors, so as soon as he was finished with his role, we could dismantle his dorm room and load up the car.  We made a couple of trips to a local storage facility and many trips up and down the four flights of stairs to Calvin's room, but we were thrilled to be on the road for home by 4 and to have Calvin to bring home with us for the summer!
As soon as we got home, Calvin and his brothers headed out to see a movie and to do some "brother bonding".  On Sunday, the boys couldn't wait to get outside and shoot some hoops on our newly installed basketball hoop!  We played a lot of "ball" this weekend and look forward to a lot more!
Sunday was spent doing chores around the house and yard and getting Calvin all unpacked and settled in.  We did have a big cook out and bonfire for ourselves and Quincy's one local friend.  It was a perfect evening!

This morning, Josh and I got up early to enjoy a fast paced 4 mile hike through the beautiful nature preserve that is less than 2 miles from our house.  Hills and stream crossings kept us working hard but loving it.

While we enjoyed our 3 day weekend, Tabitha was having a great time of her own in Italy.  She is really, really enjoying the family that she is working for and even getting into the professional basketball scene as the father of the family plays with his team in some post season tournament play.
Tabitha and Tanja (the mother) took the girls to the local zoo on Sunday and enjoyed a beautiful day.

Today, was Tabitha's first day off so she took the train into Milan to visit her very good Greek friend that she met in Stockholm but who now lives and studies in Italy.  Tabitha and "Greeky" (as they all call her) wandered around Milan before heading home to cook up some fish in the traditional Greek style.  Tabitha is just loving it all!
