Winter Hit Us!

Whew!  We woke up to a cold and rainy morning (right at 32 degrees but with a cold wind).  While I was standing on our porch waiting for Coco to do her morning business, that rain suddenly turned to snow.  For the rest of the day, it snowed!  That horrible, wet slushy snow that accumulates just enough to make more slush.  Yuck!  We all had to slop around all day in that.

After my exercise class (which has now been moved indoors for the winter - Thank goodness!), and a  fika with my new British friend, it was time to go to school to volunteer for a few hours.
Today was the used book fair where we collect and then sell donated English children's books.  It is a great fundraiser for the PTA and gives the non-English families a chance to acquire a collection of English books for very little money.  I loved hearing all of the kids come in with their parents and speak one language to their parents and beautiful English to everyone else.  It is an amazing thing!
