Subways and Christmas Trees

It is amazing how quickly I fall out of the Stockholm life mode as soon as I am away for a bit.  After our week in the U.S. last week, today, I felt kind of tired with all of my normal walking, I also took the wrong train on the subway at one point and was asked in 3 different stores if I was a tourist!  I must usually blend in better because I am rarely asked this question!  Anyway, I spent the morning in some of the subway stations with my photography club.  Stockholm has the longest art exhibit in the world as each subway station is painted/decorated in a different manner.  Our photo group had only a short time today but we chose to visit several of the more distinctive stations.

Of course, I love the subway system and I think it has a beauty of it's own, so I also chose to take some pictures of just the normal subway scene.

After a quick lunch, I then joined a friend for some Christmas shopping.  The stores are so beautifully decorated here and the window displays are a huge attraction.

Max and I decided to do a little decorating of our own this evening...

We are sending good thoughts and prayers for peace in St Louis today as violence and protests continue in Ferguson.
