A Truly Empty Nest

I actually completely cleared out the house today... Everyone is gone, even the dog... It is going to be a weirdly quiet evening!
I took Max to the airport early this morning to meet up with his Model United Nations group.  14 kids are going to a conference in Budapest as delegates from their school.  Max was so excited!  Especially since two of his best friends are going... Ryan and Achmed.
He won't be home until Monday afternoon!

After the kids were safely with their teachers and through security at the airport, I ran home in time for my exercise class.  After a brutal work out and a quick shower, I joined some friends for lunch to celebrate the birthday of Monica.  We then wandered the foggy streets of old town, hit one of the Christmas markets for the first time this year and drank our first cup of glögg for the season.

It was so strangely foggy all day long.  It never once cleared up and only got even worse when the sun went down.
So, my big kids are with their grandparents for Thanksgiving, Max is in Budapest and Josh was working in France for the first part of this week.  So, I took Coco to her dog sitter and tomorrow morning, I will fly to Amsterdam to meet Josh for a long weekend for just the two of us!  Should be fun!  Not a traditional Thanksgiving at all but since we can't be with our family, we decided that we should at least do something special.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
