Jet Lagged but Excited!

Whew! We made it! Traveling for approximately 17 hours with 5 people and a dog is not an easy task but we did it! Made it to Stockholm without any real trouble,  Tabitha and I spent two hours outside the Newark airport during our layover to make sure that Coco got adequate outdoor time but she really did a great job throughout. A little whining but since the kids didn't do any during the 7 1/2 hour flight from Newark to Stockholm, we could handle Coco. We also didn't have any trouble with customs, Coco's paperwork or weather so we are chalking this up as a success. We did have to get on two trains today that clearly stated "no dogs" but we just boldly stepped on with her in our arms and no one questioned us. We didn't have a choice since we got here too early to chek into our hotel and we don't take possession of our flat until Monday.  Shortly after arriving, we made our way to the immigration center where we had our photos, fingerprints, and height taken for our resident cards. We found out that we can't do anything else until we get these cards in 7-10 days. No bank account, tax papers, etc.... So, they destroyed a few other plans that we had for today, including getting our cell phones.  Our relocation assistant thinks that she can help us with the phones on Monday though so maybe we won't be too out of touch for long. After long showers and some long walks around the city to show the kids their new town, we took Tabitha and Max to school for their first guitar lessons. They met the music teacher and had a good time. School will start for them on Monday also. Now, we are just fighting to stay awake until a reasonable time to try to shake our jet lag as quickly as possible! More adventures tomorrow...
