Summer Has Begun!

Cleveland can't seem to quite figure out what season's weather to have so we just keep changing our clothes and hoping that we are prepared whenever we leave the house!  But, we do seem to be getting closer and closer to summer.  Today was almost 90 degrees so Josh took the afternoon off from work and went up to the yacht club to oversee his boat going into the water.  We are all quite excited about this and eager to take it out for a "spin" soon.

Saturday was a beautiful day for me because while Josh and the boys were spreading a huge delivery of mulch in all of our beds, I was out with a friend, participating in a Cleveland ethnic food markets tour.  It was great fun and we got to go to, taste from, and learn about many of the varied food markets in Cleveland!  We had Hungarian, Middle Eastern, Italian, German, Asian, Polish and Caribbean markets to sample and buy from.  Fantastic!  We spent the entire day just eating!  And, when I came home, the yard was complete!  Happy Mother's Day to me!

We spent real Mother's day driving up to Ann Arbor to move Calvin into his apartment so that he could begin his lab assistant position on campus.  He is very excited as he will be working with mice and computer programming to assist with research on Parkinson's disease.  His room that he is renting is a typical student, grungy living kind of place but at least the location is very good and he is quite certain that he will manage nicely there.  Max was so jealous that Calvin gets to be on his own all summer...

Max continues to perform well in high jump and was happy to show his skills to his grandma and grandpa on Friday.  Unfortunately, he ended earlier than usual at that particular meet due to a fall but his scrapes and bruises have healed and he is ready to jump again this week.
Quincy finished his last final and is now enjoying some beach time with his girlfriend and her family on Tybee Island in Georgia before he comes home on Sunday.
Tabitha continues to enjoy her public health internship in Batesville and is really enjoying reconnecting with her high school friends.
