After all of that excitement, Max ran in a tough cross country meet. He ran against more than 700 kids, just in his JV race alone! Crazy!
After this craziness, we jumped in the car and headed across the state to my mom and dad's house so that we could take my brother, Bruce to the Johnny Appleseed Festival on Sunday morning. At the festival, we met up with my sister also and ate our way through the festival. It was very fun and really delicious but after seeing ALL of my siblings in one weekend, it was a little bit of sibling overload!
Last week was another week of work, school and my daily social activities of hiking, biking and clubs!
On Thursday afternoon, Josh's mom came over so that Josh and I could take off for St Louis on Friday. St Louis University was having their Homecoming Alumni Family weekend and we went down to join in on the activities with Quincy. We had a GREAT time and SLU impressed us once again with their beautiful campus and very well organized grand activities. They even had a huge, impressive fireworks display after the soccer game on Saturday night. It was so great to see our big boy, tackling his senior year and becoming more and more of a man every day.
Josh and I even walked in the 5K for one of my old teachers on Saturday morning. We walked fast enough to beat some of the runners and celebrated with pancakes and a tour of the "new" physical therapy building afterwards. Amazing how much things have changed in just a short 24 years!
