On Friday night, Max ran in another massive cross country meet. It was cold and rainy and he fell once but still managed to pull off a decent time. Grandma and Grandpa were on site to watch him run.
Saturday was another cloudy day but since it didn't rain, we were able to head out on the lake for a long overdue day of sailing. We had a very nice time even though the winds were quiet and the progress was slow.
We not only celebrated my dad's 77th birthday on Saturday, but we also celebrated Coco's 10th birthday! She was thrilled to go out on the boat with us and Max even baked her special peanut butter, doggie cake when we got back home.
Sunday morning, we took off for a day in Ann Arbor. Calvin was playing in his first Quidditch match and we were eager to watch this new sporting event take place! We had a gorgeous sunny day to enjoy the game and once again, my mom and dad joined us for the fun.
We had a great time and Calvin's team won! We still have a lot of learn about the rules but we will get there! After the games, we were able to spend several hours with Calvin... enjoying lunch, a long walk, some ice cream and some shopping. He sure seems to love U Mich!
Max had the day off from school on Monday so after running many long miles for cross country practice, he joined a friend to explore one of our metro parks. They found a beautiful water fall and had a great time climbing and hiking.
Max then rode his bike back to the same spot later in the day to explore some more. That boy just loves the outdoors!
