A Super Fun Labor Day Weekend!

On Wednesday, it was time for Calvin to take that next step.  He left for college!  I drove him up to Ann Arbor, helped to carry his stuff to his room, met his room mate and then was told that I could go home....  He didn't need me anymore!  We have talked to him a few times since and he seems to be doing very well and is very happy to be there.  His classes started today so it has now gotten real!
Besides missing Calvin and Quincy and Tabitha, I have been enjoying some hikes and bike rides in the vast amount of Metroparks that Cleveland boasts.  Really fun to explore and some beautiful sights to see.
On Friday, we started getting ready for some guests.  Some good friends of ours from France have just moved back to the US after living in Amsterdam and London after 3 years in Batesville.  We were thrilled to have them come for the weekend and also thrilled that another French friend and some friends from Batesville could also come.  We had a grand reunion with these friends after more than 5 years of not seeing them all together.  They all arrived on Saturday morning and stayed until Monday lunch time.  We spent lots of time on the boat, hanging out on the beach, hiking and at the yacht club pool, time at home and time in Chagrin Falls.  The kids also loved being together again after all of this time and Max was happy to use his French speaking skills again.

Fantastic fun and the weather cooperated beautifully!
